Bangkok - amazing Nightlife

Thailand truly is a tourist's dream, with Bangkok's overwhelming nightlife and just so much to do. The city's nightlife was just overwhelming and had so much to offer to its visitors. Bangkok alone is home to a few dozen discos, roughly 100 GoGo bars, hundreds of karaoke bars, and precisely thousands of pubs and cafes.

Bangkok has so much more to offer tourists and travelers than its credit for girls and the bars of Patpong, Soi Cowboy, and Nana "Entertainment" Plaza. The experience was enjoyable and fun. The city is unrivaled for its variety of nightlife. Throbbing clubs like Lucifers and The Talisman, live music, bowling, ice skating, supper shows featuring Thai classical dance and sword play, supper cruises on the Chao Phya River in an old teak rice barge, and Thai boxing bouts at Lumpini Stadium

The city's bars, pubs and clubs runs range from sidewalk stalls overflowing with cheap beer and whiskey, to California-chic clubs like the Q bar and ultra-packed nightclubs full of bouncing, middle class Thai university students and expats. Royal City Avenue is a whole street of huge clubs the size of aeroplane hangars, packed with teenagers, jumping around to dance versions of Thai pop.

Bangkok nightlife has a credit for being wild and rowdy. But at the same time it's relaxed, safe, enjoyable and great fun to be part of it. The city is fast trying to established itself as Asia's capital of cool. Bangkok's diverse nightlife scene features all things from perfect live music and good jazz clubs to ultra cool bars, trendy clubs and great restaurants

The Marble Temple In Bangkok

The Marble Temple is located close to Dusit Palace. The name Marble Temple is used more by foreigners visiting the temple than the locals. In Thailand, the temple is known as Wat Benchamabophit.

This temple is not promoted as a traveler destination so the amount of foreigners visiting it is quite miniscule.

The wat was founded while the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) on March 1, 1900. The Ubosoth in the temple was constructed using Carrara marble from Italy. Wat Bechamabophit simply means : the temple of the Fifth King.

The main structure at Wat Benchamabophit is the Ubosoth Hall. It is one of the finest works of architectural art. The Ubosoth has four gables and the east gable is the main entry to the Ubosoth.

The cloister is located towards the rear of the Ubosoth. In the cloister there are 52 Buddha images. Some of the images are former while others are copies of important Buddha images.

Inside the Ubosoth, the main Buddha image is enshrined. This image is a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat in Phitsanulok province. The image is in bronze and it has an unusual blue lighting colse to it. Just beneath Buddha's throne, the ashes of King Rama V are interred.

There are many other structures associated straight through pleasant walkways in the Wat Benchamabophit compound. These comprise the Abbot's residence, Song Dharm Hall, used for laying in state the members of the Royal family and high dignitaries, and the Bell Tower. A visit to the monks quarters is also worthwhile and one will see that the quarters are highly colorful and well maintained.
